New Lucky Clips

27/01/2012 14:42

We have just put our new range of Lucky Clips onto the website.  As always, they are designed by Ingrid Tait and handmade by outworkers in the Shetland and Orkney Isles.  We are delighted.  They are simple but beautiful and anyone with a tendency towards lucky symbols is going to love them.  Mrs W thought up the idea during one of our walks with the dogs so many thanks to her...

Here's another shot of Ingrid Tait's studio in the Orkney Isles.  A festival of colour and yarn.  It is a completely captivating environment for anyone who enjoys colour and design.

Who are we?

12/02/2011 07:55

Ingrid's studio in Orkney is incredible.  Full of thread, colour, fabrics.  I love being there.  We have been extraordinarily lucky that Ingrid is happy to design and produce our woollen range of TreeTwists.  I will post more photographs of the studio as the weeks pass.

TreeTwist is an entirely British project.  I am based in Berkshire, the trees are planted in the Caledonian Forest and the Twists are designed by Ingrid in the Orkneys and made, largely by outworkers, in the Orkney and Shetland Isles.  Although we all work in rural communities, it is the power of technology that binds us together. And, the internet allows this business to flourish.
